Become a MemberTo establish contact among researchers in the field of folklore, reflecting the transition from oral to written transmission. Emphasis will be given to work in folklore from oral countries of the world and SADC countries.
To accumulate, correlate, and disseminate information on folklore among scholars by means of a journal, a supplement to the journal, and a newsletter.
To seek affiliation with other interested persons and institutions, both national and international, to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
To foster working relations with other like-minded organizations to advance the study and preservation of folklore traditions globally.
